ABOUT
I’m a mixed media landscape artist, inspired by my local surroundings and places I’ve visited. I love rocky beaches, sweeping paths, and experimenting with textures and mark-making.
Working on board and paper, I’ve developed a semi-abstract layered technique using acrylics and my own gelli-printed collage papers. I then add details with crayons, pens, inks, and other media to evoke the emotions the places inspire. While my paintings can be appreciated from afar, up close the intricate textures and details of the gelli papers are revealed.
I also love to teach and share with others my love of mixed media and gelli printing. I was a secondary school art teacher for 26 years and now get the same satisfaction from running my own in-person workshops and online courses.
